Privacy Policy

How BakerHouse Service Co. collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website or request service.

Effective date: 2026-08-10

BakerHouse Service Co. ("BakerHouse", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through bakerhouse.com (the "Site") and through our text messaging, email, and phone communications ("Programs"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. By using the Site, contacting us to request service, or opting in to a Program, you agree to the terms of this Policy. The Site and Programs are intended for users located in the United States; if you access them from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three ways:

  • Information you give us — name, phone number, email address, service address, property details, and any other information you provide when you submit a service request, request a quote, schedule an appointment, contact us by phone, email, or web form, or respond to a post-project survey, NPS request, or review invitation (see Section 3).
  • Information collected automatically — IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, click activity, approximate geographic location, and timestamps. We collect this through cookies, local storage, and similar technologies described below.
  • Information from third parties — service-completion records, photo documentation, customer reviews, and geolocation data submitted by our field technicians via partner platforms (including Real Work Labs) that power the "Recent Projects" and verified-review widgets on our Site.

You are not required to provide personal information to browse the Site. If you choose not to provide certain information, we may be unable to respond to your request, administer a Program, or provide certain services.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your inquiries, send quotes, schedule appointments, and provide HVAC/R services you request.
  • To communicate with you about appointments, estimates, invoices, follow-ups, and customer service.
  • To administer our post-project survey, NPS, and feedback Program, including sending survey invitations, collecting and analyzing satisfaction scores and qualitative feedback, and following up on issues you raise (see Section 3).
  • To request that you leave a review on public platforms, at your discretion.
  • To improve the Site, our marketing, and our service quality (for example, analyzing which pages convert visitors to leads).
  • To display verified project, review, and "work near you" widgets that help future customers see the quality and proximity of our work.
  • To measure the performance of our advertising (Google Ads, Meta/Facebook Ads) and to optimize ad spend through conversion tracking.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, spam, abuse, and security incidents.
  • To comply with applicable law and to enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use information collected through the Site or Programs to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.

3. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS) Program, Surveys, and Review Requests

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in, you may receive text messages from us related to appointment scheduling and reminders, customer support, post-project satisfaction surveys and Net Promoter Score (NPS) collection, qualitative feedback requests about completed work, invitations to leave a public review, and — where permitted — limited service-related informational messages.

  • Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us (for example, number of projects, survey requests, or inbound inquiries).
  • Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier may charge you for text messages according to your plan; you are responsible for any such charges.
  • Opt-out (STOP): reply "STOP" to any text message to unsubscribe. We may send a one-time confirmation message. You may still receive messages from other Programs you've joined until you opt out of those separately.
  • Help (HELP): reply "HELP" to any text message, or contact us using the information in Section 10.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery may be affected by your carrier's coverage and network conditions.
  • Your participation in surveys, feedback requests, and review invitations is voluntary and declining does not affect your ability to receive service from us.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, text-message consent information, or opt-out status with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share this information only with service providers that help us deliver text messages (such as messaging platforms, phone companies, and vendors assisting with SMS delivery) or as required by law.

For questions about text/call Program terms — including message frequency, opt-in, and opt-out — see also our Terms of Service.

4. Cookies, Pixels, and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies — including first-party cookies, third-party cookies, pixels (such as the Meta Pixel), tag-management snippets (such as Google Ads conversion tags), and call-tracking tools (dynamic phone numbers used to attribute calls to marketing sources) — to:

  • Remember your preferences and improve site performance.
  • Measure how many people visit our pages and which marketing campaigns send them.
  • Attribute conversions (form submissions, calls, appointment bookings) to the ad channel that drove them.
  • Power third-party widgets, including the Real Work Labs project-feed and neighborhood widgets embedded on this Site.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings, and any cookie preference tool presented on the Site can be used to manage certain categories. If you disable cookies, parts of the Site may not function as intended.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). Where required by applicable law, we treat a browser's GPC signal as a request to opt out of certain processing, such as targeted-advertising "sharing" under state privacy law. Honoring GPC may be limited by technical constraints and may not apply to cookies necessary to operate the Site.

Do Not Track. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting "Do Not Track" browser signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. Use the cookie and GPC controls above to manage tracking.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

  • Service providers — vendors who help us operate the Site and deliver service (hosting, email/SMS delivery, CRM, analytics, advertising platforms, payment processors, call-tracking, survey/review-request platforms, and the Real Work Labs project-feed platform). These providers may access your data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are required to keep it confidential; we do not authorize them to use it for their own marketing.
  • Advertising partners — we share hashed identifiers (such as hashed email or phone) with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google to measure ad performance and to build look-alike audiences. We do not share names, addresses, or any unhashed contact information for advertising purposes.
  • Legal requirements — we may disclose information when required by subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BakerHouse, our customers, or the public.
  • Business transfers — if BakerHouse is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Mobile and text-messaging information is excluded from all sharing described above. Your mobile phone number, text-message consent, and opt-out status will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes — the only exception is service providers that help us deliver text messages, or disclosure required by law.

6. Third-Party Widgets and Embedded Content

Our Site embeds widgets and scripts from third parties — including Real Work Labs (for the "Recent Projects" and project-map widgets), Google (Maps, Fonts, Ads), and Meta (Pixel). These third parties may set their own cookies and collect information about your visit even if you do not interact with the widget. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

7. Data Retention

We retain customer contact and service records for as long as the customer relationship is active and for a reasonable period afterward to support warranty, accounting, tax, and legal obligations. We retain survey, NPS, and review-request records to administer that Program and improve service quality. We retain marketing and analytics data only as long as needed to measure campaign performance, typically no longer than 25 months for ad-platform records. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, deidentify, or securely dispose of it.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Email, text messages, and chat communications may not be encrypted end-to-end — please do not send sensitive information through these channels. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law, and you can reach us immediately using the contact information in Section 10.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your state of residence (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or Utah), you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process personal information about you, and request access to it.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Request a copy of your personal information in a portable format.
  • Opt out of marketing communications by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email, replying STOP to any text message, or opting out of the sharing of hashed identifiers with advertising partners.
  • Appeal a decision on your privacy rights request, where required by applicable law.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 10. We may need to verify your identity before completing your request, and where permitted by law you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will respond within 45 days as required by applicable law. We do not sell personal information for money, though certain third-party partners may collect information through cookies for analytics, advertising, and measurement — see Section 4 for how to opt out.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site and our Programs are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Site or a Program, contact us at bakerhouseserviceco@proton.me and we will take steps to delete it.

11. International Visitors

BakerHouse operates in the United States. If you are visiting the Site or participating in a Program from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Effective date" above. Your continued use of the Site or participation in any Program after changes are posted means you accept the updated Policy. Material changes will be communicated more prominently (for example, by a banner on the Site or by email to active customers).
