24/7 Emergency HVAC/R — Always Answered
When it's 4am and your walk-in is climbing, or 6pm on Christmas Eve and the furnace just quit, you don't want voicemail. The BakerHouse emergency line is always answered by a real person — and there's no premium for after-hours, weekends, or holidays.
What We Treat as an Emergency
Different emergencies, different stakes — but they all get the same immediate response from BakerHouse.
- No heat in winter — especially with kids, elderly residents, or pets in the home
- No cooling in summer — hard on health when temps hit 100°+ in Albuquerque
- Walk-in coolers and freezers losing temperature — every hour costs inventory
- Restaurant equipment failures during service — make-up air, AC, refrigeration
- Gas leaks and combustion concerns — safety first, always
- Water leaks from HVAC equipment — drywall and floor damage piling up
- Server room AC failures — clock running on equipment damage
- Total system shutdowns — anything that's left a building without HVAC capability
How Our Emergency Line Works
- Always answered — by a real person, not a voicemail tree
- Triaged immediately — we ask the right questions to dispatch the right tech with the right parts
- Same-night response — most metro emergencies on-site within 2–4 hours
- Refrigerant and common parts on every truck — we plan to fix it on the call
- No after-hours premium — emergencies are stressful enough
- Honest pricing — clear options before any repairs begin, even at 2am
Coverage Area
Fastest emergency response is the Albuquerque metro, the East Mountains, Rio Rancho, and the I-25 corridor up through Bernalillo. We also dispatch for emergencies in Santa Fe, Los Lunas, and the surrounding communities — response time depends on time of day and where the nearest available tech is.
Why No After-Hours Premium
Some HVAC companies double or triple rates after 5pm and on weekends. We don't. Emergencies happen at inconvenient times because that's the definition of an emergency — and the last thing a customer needs is to feel gouged on top of an already-bad day. Our rate is the same Tuesday at 2pm or Sunday at 2am.
When to Call vs Wait Until Morning
If anyone's safety or health is at risk, call immediately — no heat in winter with vulnerable family members, suspected gas leak, electrical or smoke smell. If your AC is out at 1am and it's 75°F outside, calling at 8am is fine. If your walk-in is at 48°F and climbing at 11pm, call now. We'd rather you call and we tell you it can wait than wait and lose inventory.

Common Questions, Straight Answers
Do you really not charge extra for nights and weekends?
Correct. We charge our standard rates 24/7. We do not double or triple billing for after-hours, weekends, or holidays. Emergencies are stressful enough.
How fast can you actually get here?
Most Albuquerque-metro emergency calls have a tech on-site within 2–4 hours. East Mountain communities are similar during reasonable hours. Outlying areas (Santa Fe, Los Lunas, Moriarty) depend on time of day and tech location — we'll give you a real ETA when you call.
What if you can't fix it tonight?
We try to. Most emergencies are fixable on the first call with parts from the truck. When we genuinely cannot — a major part with a multi-day lead, for example — we'll work with you on temporary refrigerated storage, portable cooling, or whatever bridge solution makes sense and give you transparent timing.
Do I need to be a current customer to call the emergency line?
No. We respond to first-time emergency calls just as fast. Honest service is how new customers become long-term customers.
Can businesses set up priority emergency response?
Yes. Service contracts include priority emergency dispatch, faster response SLAs, and direct access to a dedicated tech contact for repeat issues. Useful for restaurants, grocers, server rooms, and cultivation facilities.
